Sian Ka'an means (Gate of Heaven) The biosphere reserve is part of the province of Yucatan surface is made up mainly of limestone. It prevents formation of surface water flow and favors the outcrop of some wells in Sian Ka'an can see some trees that can measure till 30m high and grow in the swamps is there.
In the rainy season it remains flooded in the summer and you can see 4 types of mangroves that are red, black white and gray you can also see dolphins, birds and turtles in their natural habitat.

Sian ka'an que significa(puerta del cielo) la reserva de la biosfera forma parte de la provincia de Yucatán su superficie esta constituida principalmente por piedra caliza. Misma que impide formación de corriente superficiales de agua y favorece al afloramiento de algunos pozos en Sian ka’an puedes ver algunos árboles que pueden medir asta 30 metros de altura y crecen entre los pantanos que hay ahí.
En la época de lluvias permanece anegada en el verano y se pueden ver 4 tipos de manglares que son rojo, negro blanco y gris también puedes observar delfines, pájaros y tortugas en su habita natural.
