Isla Mujeres was discovered by the Spanish Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba and his crew in 1947 to see his figures gave it the name of Isla Mujeres island .This was dedicated to the goddess of fertility goddess Ixchel
The island is world famous mind became in the 70s when the cave of sharks was presented by the Mexican famous oceanographer Ramón Bravo and now we can enjoy its history culture and spectacular beaches. When you come you will not regret because you'll take a piece of this famous island.
